Growing up in Sweden I became passionate about photography at an early age. Now an Oregon Photographer for many years, I appreciate the great variety of landscapes available in this state. With a background in high-tech engineering I find it fascinating to capture non-technical details of the natural world. Bird photography of especially larger birds, is also a favorite subject matter of mine.

Using high-resolution digital photography allows me to capture the subtle details of nature and transfer them to large prints with astounding clarity and color. Today's technology allows prints to be made on archival paper and canvas media with imperceptible fading or color change in a lifetime.

I've been fortunate to travel a great deal. One of my most memorable trips was to Brazil and Argentina where I was able to capture some remarkable natural scenery as well as tropical birds at close range.

In the past several years I have exhibited my photos at art shows and galleries and in that process been fortunate to receive several awards. My close-up botanical photos, which were gallery wrapped in large format, were selected to decorate the walls at large medical facilities in the Portland Oregon area. In 2021 and 2023 I was honored to receive Photo of the Day Awards in Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contests.

"Many of my subjects are close to the lens, revealing their intriguing quality. Some of my images are extreme close-ups to the point of abstraction. Shapes and textures that are not usually distinguished by the human eye are reproduced and revealed in great detail on my photographs. I feel that I have succeeded in capturing my image if the viewer does not recognize the subject at first glance, hence making the image more interesting and worthy of a second look."
